Frequently Asked Questions
Are we a good fit?
Finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. I offer a free 20 minute phone or video consultation to assist in the process. During this brief meeting you will have an opportunity to share what you are seeking from therapy and I can tell you more about my therapy style and approach. Please complete the Inquiry Form to schedule a complimentary consultation.
What happens during an initial intake session?
If you decide to move forward and begin therapy, your first appointment will be an intake session. This initial appointment will last 60 minutes. We will discuss relevant history and what is bringing you to therapy. We will also begin to identify and clarify your therapy goals.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
I offer both in-person and virtual telehealth sessions. In-person sessions take place in my New Providence, NJ office. Telehealth sessions are held via a secure online platform.
Do you take insurance? What are your fees?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. If you would like to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a detailed receipt or superbill that you may submit for reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement rates vary, so it’s a good idea to contact your insurance provider to learn more about the details of your plan.
Investment:
Initial Intake Session (60 minutes): $200
Individual Therapy Session (50 minutes): $150
Couples Therapy Session (60 minutes): $180
Payment is expected at the time of service. I accept credit, debit, HSA, and FSA cards.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I am committed to making therapy accessible. I have a limited number of appointments available at a sliding scale rate. Please reach out to inquire about reduced rates.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that clients please provide at least 24 hours notice when canceling a session. Late cancellations are subject to the full session fee, with exceptions made for illness and emergencies.
What is Imago Relationship Therapy?
Developed by Dr. Harville Hendrix and Dr. Helen LaKelly Hunt, Imago Relationship Therapy is a compassionate, collaborative approach that helps couples deepen connection and shift relationship patterns. “Imago”, the Latin word for image, refers to the unconscious vision of love we carry from childhood—an inner template that influences who we are attracted to and informs how we relate. In therapy, couples learn safe, structured, effective ways to communicate their feelings and experiences. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, Imago helps partners explore what underlies their struggles and transform conflict into opportunities for healing, growth and greater understanding.
Why the name Harmonia?
Harmonia, the Greek goddess born of love and strife, captures the complexity of relationships and the hope that guides my work. We navigate moments of closeness and conflict, ease and struggle. How we relate to ourselves, others, and the world holds immense possibility, yet it can also create deep hurt. Healing isn’t about avoiding pain—it’s about finding meaning, balance and clarity through it. Harmonia reflects my commitment to helping people understand themselves more fully, strengthen their relationships, and move toward a more grounded, fulfilling life.
